Personal Information:
My name is Robin and I am 22 years old. I enjoy shopping, scrap booking and hanging out with friends. One of my biggest vices is coffee, ask any of my students and they will tell you that I can't live without it! I am very close to my family and can't wait to start my own family one day.
Professional:
I was fortunate enough to get a job right after graduation in May and am enjoying my first year of teaching at a school in Toledo. I teach high school special education and am working on my Masters in Educational Administration. My areas of specialty include: motivating students, coming up with creative teaching techniques and teaching poetry.
What I hope to get out of this course:
I hope to get creative ideas on techniques to teach basic English skills to high school students. I also hope to share ideas with my colleagues all around Toledo.

Yep I've been up here since the middle of October. Things are going great! How are things going at Whitmer?
ReplyDeleteGood to meet you! Good luck with the remainder of your first year!
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you. Congrats on the job! I was fortunate to find a teaching job right away too. I gradauted in December of 2006, had an interview 4 days later, and got the job. So, I started in the middle of the year. It was sort of tough, but I swear I learned more in the first month of teaching than I did in four years of college. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI am always looking for ideas on motivating students...
